Beginning Journalism

For 14 months I reported on Melbournes western suburbs, completing my cadetship in the first year. During my time writing for the Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay masthead I wrote news and feature articles that were published online daily and in the weekly newspaper. Those stories covered a wide range of topics such as breaking news, politics, education, environment, entertainment, courts and crime, all with a community focus.
